Job Description
One point of contact & responsible for all engineering solutions as far as Tooling and Process improvements in Manufacturing Units across the globe are concerned.
Responsible for increasing Efficiency across the value-chain in the Manufacturing / Assembly environment.
Leadership & Technical direction to Engineers
Support International teams for Production Engineering Services by providing Engineering Design solutions for Tools & Equipment used and Drawings / Technical Documentations for the same & also through Project Management of various Technology Transfer projects between Production Units world-wide.
Develop & implement roadmaps and execute according to organizational strategies & Objectives
Develop competences and motivate employees
Ensure Close cooperation with internal customers and stakeholders.
Responsible for design & development of Tools & Equipment needed for manufacturing process improvements & also for producing new models of Turbines in all manufacturing Units across the globe.
Responsible for Cost performance pertaining to provision of Tools & Equipment in such a way efficient set-up is maintained in each Factory.
Responsible for optimized Production layouts inside Factories.
To Support New Product Introduction & other Technology transfer projects between Factories.
Responsible for creating Work Instructions and PFMEA.
Responsible for Continuous improvement in Cost-optimized manufacturing Processes and usage of Tools & Equipment in all Factories.
Responsible for all Engineering tasks being offshored to India from other regions like creating Technical drawings & documentations, maintaining technical database & Bill of Materials, manage Engineering changes etc.
A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
Should have had hands-on experience in Technical design & Process engineering including Tooling designs, Mechanical components design & in Testing of heavy engineering items which includes Hydraulics as well.
Should be having Techno-Commercial back-ground to be able to relate Tooling design and other Technical & Process related solutions in an Industry to Cost.
Should have handled cost-effective lean solutions in a Manufacturing environment.
Should necessarily be a Process engineer with expertise in handling all kinds of Mechanical, Hydraulic & Electrical Tools and Machineries used for small, medium & Heavy engineering applications.
Should have experience in Cost effective Manufacturing Process improvements, Lean methodologies, Tooling / Machinery selection & improvements, and Tooling designs.
Should have handled International projects.
Should be an efficient People Manager as well.
