Job Profile:
Minimum 15 - 20 years overall experience with at least 10+ years Relevant experience in upstream Oil and Gas industry (experience in Mechanical Downhole and/or Mechanical Service Equipment)
Hands on experience on the Mechanical Design/O&M (Operation and Maintenance) of Downhole Equipment like Directional Drilling, MWD and LWD Systems
Solid working knowledge of Industry Standards on Drilling Processes and systems.
Hands on experience on Manufacturing and Installation of Drilling and M/LWD tools are desirable.
Strong Fundamentals on Oil and Gas domain.
Strong knowledge on material science and related heat treatment applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to engineers to resolve problems related to the RTAs
Assist to understand & convert customer requirements and problem statements into Scope of Work documents.
Guide the team on all technical issues related to drilling tool failures with the goal of excellent customer service in mind;
Develop alternate design solutions for tool failures, wherever feasible.
Develop, administer and train the team on Downhole Equipment Design and O&M
Attend customer meetings when required, and guide the team as required based on the customer expectations
Participate in discussions on requirement gathering, Design Reviews as needed.
Validate design through hand calculations or other analysis techniques, as required
Keep abreast with latest best practices available in Oil & Gas industry and transfer knowledge to the team.

Excellent verbal and written English skills, customer interaction skills are essential.
Ability to lead and mentor teams, good communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent presentation skills for proposing new designs and innovations.
Should be proactive, committed and energetic.
Demonstrate ownership.
Candidate Profile
Education : Masters/ Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
Experience : Hands on experience on Design/Operation and Maintenance of Downhole
Equipment like Drill systems, Well Finishing, MWD and LWD Systems
