POSITION TITLE – CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER - CIVIL
Salary – 500 OMR Basic
1. JOB SUMMARY/SCOPE:
To supervise discipline construction activities in the area to ensure that all works are completed according to design, on schedule and to appropriate levels of HSE & quality.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervising the discipline construction and commissioning activities in a safe manner within budget on the time in accordance with applicable company procedures and technical specification.
• To review the scope of construction works and identify for any anomalies prior and during construction.
• To monitor the HSE performance of all construction contractors in the area (against the Departmental, Projects or Contract HSE Plan) and to ensure that all work site under his control are operating in a safe manner.
• To review Contacts plan and ensure Project target are met.
• To sign (within the limit of assigned technical Authority) the test pack after completion of individual jobs making sure that the job has been done according to company standards and regulation and site is clean of any scrap.
• To plan of station or part of station shutdown with operations.
• To review marked up as built drawing of the completed job before handover to operations and project engineer.
• To highlight any deviations from the original design to the head of construction.
• Ensure that schedule requirement is always met and ensure quality deliverable.
• Promote a Plane – execute – measure – feedback work loop method in construction activities.
• Develop Omani Contractor Personnel.
• To foster continuous Business Improvement.
3. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Degree/Diploma in Engineering or HND in Civil.
• Minimum of 8 year experience in Oil & Gas construction and pre commissioning activities in the Large Engineering & construction organization.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Good interpersonal and communication skill. Able to motivate a team within matrix type organization.
• Must have sound basic skills in relevant branch of engineering.
• Good knowledge of onsite HSE Management.
• Computer literate.
• Good management skill.
• Familiar with design and engineering standards. Read and understand drawings.
