With a strong portfolio of work including many high profile infrastructure projects both nationally and internationally, our team is expanding and we are looking to recruit a range of new team members.
Project types cover a range of work in different market sectors, including feasibility studies and options appraisals, engineering consulting and design, preparation of tender and contract documents, and construction supervision. Our clients are typically UK Government agencies, Local Authorities, UK/International water utilities and private organisations.
Ideally based in Cardiff, but potentially flexible across UK offices with regular attendance in Cardiff, the successful candidate will be a competent Project Manager ideally holding a relevant accreditation. You will be comfortable working with our strategic sales teams to develop new business with public and private sector clients, but your primary focus will be delivering a portfolio of projects to agreed financial, programme and technical indicators.
The role will include responsibilities for:
- The management and leadership of options review and/or flood modelling studies
- Feasibility and design projects, for supervision and contract administration services
- Managing and overseeing the production of outline and detailed designs, reports, drawings, tender documents, specifications, feasibility studies and asset management works
- Appraisal of strategic options for flood risk management to ensure future flood risk management is sustainable
- Management of a team of specialists
- Commercial performance
- Risk management
- Programme management
Serving as mentor for more junior staff working towards the Project Management job family

- Have a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams;
- Have written and oral communication skills when communicating with stakeholders including technical and non-technical parties are essential;
- Have proven experience of managing packages and projects;
- Have proven experience of managing budgets, of delivery to deadline and evidence of problem resolution in the process;
- Be a flexible team player, able to work with different project teams both locally and across remote offices, and willing to travel internationally.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
- Degree in Engineering/Environment
- Chartered with the relevant Institution (ICE, CIWEM, etc.)
- Accreditation in project management would be an advantage
