A company based in Swindon specialising new and innovative products for the aerospace and automotive industry are looking for an Automotive Project Manager.
They are looking for an ambitious individual to manage and oversee projects and ensure a smooth transition throughout the life cycle. You will be handing complex situations and delegating tasks in order to efficiently and effectively complete the project as cost-effectively as possible. As well as handing customer concerns and maintaining the existing customer base with relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up new leads or enquiries, providing quotations and to then follow up quotations to achieve new business and or gain feedback.
- Liaise with Manufacturing Management Team and Shop Floor to ensure work is on target and being produced in accordance with the method and time scale agreed with the customer.
- Keep Senior Management informed of work progress and potential new work
- Cost analysis (labour, materials, time, profit and loss)
- Performance target implementation, monitoring and report generation where required.
- Ensure that correct information is supplied to shop-floor (job packs, registered drawings to current issue, ply-books, assembly books including organisation of tooling and all necessary materials).
- Management of work to and from external sub-contractors.
- Assist with the running of other projects where needed to support the Management Team.
Salary on offer is up to £45,000 plus a competitive benefits package
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' experience working within a project management position. Any applicant must have experience within a motorsport/ F1 environment but Automotive exposure will also be considered. The company will consider Project Engineers looking to make the step up providing you have the industry experience.
