Position: Head of Section - Mechanical
Qualification: BE/B Tech Mechanical (Full time)
Experience: 15 to 20yrs Experience with good experience in Olefins/Cracker
Job Location: Nigeria
Company: Petrochemical Company, Ranked Top 50 in Forbes, with 40+ manufacturing facilities across the Globe.
Responsibilities:
Overall control on the maintenance activity in cracker plant
TAM/Shutdown /opportunity shut down planning of spares/ execution based on job list and resource planning
Spares management & inventory controls
Execution of routine maintenance, LLF & PM activities in the plant, Job allocation and arrangement of material and other resources considering operations priority, Ensure that the jobs SMPs are followed.
Condition Monitoring of Rotary Equipment
Equipment history, ICMS (Oracle Base Maintenance Software)
Reliability improvement of static and rotary equipment in the plant
Liaise with operational department/concern department for non-conformity observed recorded.
Trouble shooting and root cause analysis of equipments by collecting running parameters, data & other observations; and conducting methodical analysis.
Execution of welding/fabrication activities with local contractors for new projects and MOCs including resource planning, scheduling
Inspection of stock of required material / alternate material available in MMD, Monitor their issue and timely delivery to site
Maintain inventory by raising PRs and recommending minimum quantity for PO placement;
Import substitution & arranging in-house alternate material through machining / fabrication.
Generation, preparation of Engineering Drawing for development of Rotary Components
Expense and budget control by monitoring high value MIVs, analyzing the expenses overshooting budget highlighted in monthly expense report.
Training and developing the subordinates through on the job training, classroom training and SMP socialization, giving responsibilities and setting targets for subordinates
Preparation of E&M and other reports for the department
Comply HSE requirements & guidelines related with plant.
Job Knowledge & hands on experience:
Strong knowledge & conversant with principle, internal configuration & construction of major mechanical rotary equipment's such as
Pumps Centrifugal Multi stage/High Speed Sun dyne Pumps
Compressors (Centrifugal/Screw/
Fans (Centrifugal)
Mechanical Seals etc
Steam Turbines
Gear Boxes.
Knowledge of principle, internal configuration & construction of major mechanical static equipment's
Heat exchangers
Columns
Dryers
Pressure Vessels / drums / tanks etc.
Boilers
Reactors
Heaters/Vaporizers
Furnace/Crackers
Skill for good trouble shooting employing logical approach
TAM /Major Shut down planning & preparation /execution experience
Annual maintenance budget planning /controls
Performance monitoring of equipment (rotary/static)
Out of box thinking and innovative approach towards job / work
Knowledge of engineering standards and regulations (API, ASME, ASTM)
Knowledge about industrial safety standards
