| Client Company: International Oil &Gas exploration and production company Position: Lead Electrical Engineer Job Location: Oman Job Description: • Develop and / or review conceptual design on which engineering contractors base their work. • Guide a team of electrical discipline engineers, and review, supervise and own all work performed by them. • Chair design reviews with Engineering Contractors, operations and other groups. • Act as the technical authority and address all queries initiated by Construction and commissioning team and support site team on their technical requirements. • Develop standard procedures to be adopted by electrical construction and commissioning team. • Provide technical support to operations and maintenance team on all aspects related to Electrical engineering to ensure deliverance of ultimate customer requirements • Draft and remain as the custodian of all electrical technical specifications & the EDSA electrical model. • Raise and discuss key and critical technical issues with the Oman Facilities Team Leaders to develop cost effective solutions, using best operating practice and current industry design criteria. • Interpret and implement local and international design codes and practices to comply with local and international laws, as applicable and ensure current International Standards and approaches are used and implemented where appropriate. • Produce and/or review technical reports. • Responsible as a Principal senior authorized electrical person to enforce electrical safety requirements in the field and act as a custodian of Electrical safety rules. • Responsible for the mentoring & development of Omani nationals from graduate through senior to Lead Engineer competencies & experience Requirement: Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience related to Electrical Engineering Experience Requirement: Minimum 15 years in Oil & Gas Sector Skills Required: Experience in P&ID PFD If you are interested to apply for this position kindly revert back with your updated resume to s.bhale@huxley.com.
