Position – Lead Project Engineer – Salary- RO 1000 -1500 per month+ other benefits
• Degree in discipline specific Engineering (B.E/ B.Tech .) and membership of internationally accepted applicable professional Institute.
• Minimum 15 years experience in the Design and Specification of Refinery and downstream Oil & Gas Facilities with extensive experience in Conceptual Studies, Front-End and Detailed Design.
• Fully conversant with relevant International (ANSI, ASTM, API, BSI,IP, ISO, IEC, IEEE etc.) Standards.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as Discipline Head or as Senior Discipline Engineer.
• Due to extensive use of European Standards, must have proven
• Experience in Refinery Engineering projects is mandatory.
• Field experience in Construction & Commissioning is strongly preferred.
• Single point responsibility for the integrity and quality of all work with in the discipline.
• Resource and staff management within discipline.
• Ensure effective communication and interface definition between all disciplines for design development, review and check processes.
• Represent Contractor in co-ordination with Orpic Discipline Head for monitoring and variance control of Or pic Standards. Ensure robust challenge of Or pic Standards as part of normal work practice.
• Identify potential applications for new technology in discipline area.
• Review and control any discipline design work carried out by third parties (Vendors or sub-Contractors).
• Provide detailed discipline Engineering input during all Design phases, including interpretation of Standards.
• Lead discipline specific Design Reviews (HAZOP, SAFOP, IPF etc) and participate in other discipline Design Reviews as appropriate.
• Provide highest quality discipline input into Conceptual Design Teams.
• Actively train and encourage the development of Omani staff to fulfil discipline Engineering roles.
