Position - Lead Piping Engineer
Location - Gurgaon
The Role:
General Description includes responsibility for confirmation/evaluation of project scope, planning/scheduling, resource forecasting, progress measurement and reporting, quantity and budget control, review of project and vendor data, and personnel supervision. Assists with training other engineers by providing instruction on new technologies and/or a specialization. Supports the development of new technologies and methods. Is the highest level Engineer position and looked to for technical expertise. Maintains and promotes a focus on end product whether engineering, fabrication or construction. Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines. Ensures effective management of change.
Responsibilities and Duties:
As a Lead Engineer:
* Confirm the project scope and design basis by evaluating as-sold data received at kickoff meeting for the assigned project.
* Review all project as-sold specifications and prepare Piping Engineering and Design Project Instructions for the Piping Engineering and Design team. Identify differences or unusual requirements for Piping Engineering and Design.
* Identify errors or problems with the as-sold basis and advise the Project
* Engineer or Project Engineering Manager of budget & schedule impacts
* Prepare, if necessary, supplemental estimates and design studies to clearly define as-sold parameters.
* Develop input information for project schedule that is compatible with project requirement. Especially correct sequencing and relation of piping functions to Process Deliverables, Instrument and Control deliverables, equipment deliverables, and material deliverables.
* Monitor and maintain the Piping Engineering and Design portion of the project schedule. Report delays or restraints to the Project Engineer or Project Engineering Manager. Detail shall be added to the schedule as required to accurately monitor all progress and deliverables.
* Monitor and report to Project Engineering Manager deviations from estimated material quantities.
* Develop personnel plan, working with the internal team, to ensure timely allocation of required personnel.
Basic Qualifications:
* B.E / B.Tech with 15-25 year of experience in piping design ,stress and material and already worked as a lead engineer in past
