Job Title : Senior Construction Engineer
Department : Brownfield Project
Reports to : Field Construction Manager
Location : AUH
Job purpose & Scope:
* Supervise the activities and monitor the performance of Construction Contractors during construction and maintenance work carried out at Company offshore facilities. Ensures the work is carried out in time and as per established Company HSE standards and quality requirements.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Supports the Construction Manager during construction work carried out by Contractors at Company facilities offshore.
* Reviews effectiveness of Contractor's equipment and personnel to meet contract requirements.
* Supports Construction Manager to monitor progress and performance of the Construction Contractor to ensure that the Contractor performs to the approved schedule, specifications and standards.
* Prepares daily progress reports, detailing work progress, number of Contractor personnel and equipment available on site, consumables and other related items / matters as defined in the scope of work.
* Coordinates movement of the Contractor team from one work site to another within the confines of the field, or outside field limits while mobilizing / demobilizing or field exiting for port calls due to adverse weather conditions or equipment breakdown while working at offshore.
* Reviews all construction drawings and "As-Built" drawings.
* Reviews construction works deviations as Company representative.
* Report to Construction Manager all construction activities and forecast the completion.
* Review Contractor's construction work methodology, sequence and plans.
* Support the Construction and Commissioning Managers to monitor the pre-commissioning, commissioning works and provides assistance during plant start-up works.
* Witnesses testing of all project related equipment & major packages at site before installation.
* Reviews construction contractor's daily reports/logs.
* Reviews various construction related procedures
Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts):
* Daily contacts with relevant Departments/Services and Site Management for coordination of work and to provide daily progress reports. Daily contacts with Operations representatives, Contractor's personnel at site to ensure progress and completion of work.
Independence of Operations and Decision-making Authority:
* Work according to the approved plans, schedules, specifications and technical/professional standards. Identifies most effective way of carrying out the construction work tasks. Work assignments are subject to review and direction by Construction Manager.
Work Environment: Work mostly at sites.
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Civil or Mechanical discipline.
* 15 years working experience (out of which 10 years construction experience in oil & gas industry).
* Very good knowledge in English (Written & Spoken).
* Computer literate
Additional Requirements:
* The candidate should be available for interview between 3rd and 4th week of September i.e. between 20-30 September
* Candidate short-listed for interview must furnish copies of last 3 months pay slips and previous employment certificates without fail
* Interviews will be conducted in UAE or another suitable location.
