The successful candidate will join Wood Group Integrity Management (WGIM) in Houston and will report directly to the WGIM Inspection Engineering Lead.
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to help build the structural integrity management specialty within an ambitious and success-focused business. The position requires a self-motivated, innovative, and growth-oriented person. A strong technical background in structural integrity management and structural analysis of offshore structures (both fixed and floating) is required to ensure strong technical leadership in growing this business line. This role is regional and would encompass the USA, Canada, and Central and South America. The successful applicant will also be responsible for interacting with our other, international business units on matters of structural integrity.
The Structural Integrity Lead will be responsible for providing structural integrity management services to the major operators and frequently working in collaboration with WGIM's other IM business lines to provide all-of-facility IM services to our clients. The successful applicant will also be responsible for expanding WGIM's overall SIM capabilities by selecting the right candidates to perform SIM duties including integrity management and inspection plan development, structural analysis, and repair planning. This position will also require the successful applicant to organize and perform business development activities in order to grow the business line.
In addition, the successful candidate will be required to oversee WGIM's SIM projects and ensure technical deliverables are to the high standards set by WGIM and Wood Group and that other SIM team members are technically proficient and highly motivated in order to provide high quality SIM services.

Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for this key role are:
Supporting the production of reports and perform quality check for issue
Leading staff and allocating work to SIM team members
Maintaining utilization throughout the year
Developing and submitting proposals
Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Undertaking business development activities in order to support growth targets for the SIM team and the overall WGIM business
Developing and maintaining professional relationships with WGIM's clients
Managing all SIM-related projects and delegating where appropriate to SIM team members
Providing technical expertise internally and externally on SIM matters
Adhering to the company's quality and HSE policies
Helping to achieve company goals / personal KPIs
Pro-actively lead involvement with industry associations and academic institutions

Required Experience
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in structural integrity management
Experience with structural analysis programs and methods
Engineering degree in civil/structural, or naval architecture engineering
Familiarity with offshore structures, operations, and repairs
Familiarity with structural life extension is recommended
