Job Title: Piping designer

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Duration: 6+ months

Detailed job description:

· This family is responsible for engineering and piping design in the Oil, Gas and Chemicals Division of The Incumbents in this family are typically responsible for design and CADD drafting of piping for refineries, chemical, and petrochemical facilities.

· Incumbents work closely with the lead designers, various project managers and discipline engineers to perform design and drafting for projects assigned. Other duties as assigned.

· SCOPE: Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. Establishes and recommends changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s).

· PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Works on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

· IMPACT: Decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs and personnel, and serious delays in overall schedules.

· LIAISON: Frequently interacts with customers and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Interactions normally involve matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company.

· FREEDOM TO ACT: Work is accomplished without considerable direction. Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignments. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may supervise or provide guidance to other personnel.

· LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: - KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: Involves comprehensive knowledge of this administrative field and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments.
