| • Prepare detailed conceptual lifting, modularization, transportation studies and barging operations.
• Prepare requisitions, specifications, and technical evaluations for heavy lift and transportation services and operations, and provide tender support. Review and sanction contractors lifting and transportation method statements and risk assessments, and ensure that they comply with Company Procedures, International Standards and safe working practices on all Foster Wheeler construction sites. (eg LOLER, BS7121)
• Carry out/commission surveys to establish practical and appropriate pre-assembly and modularisation methodologies including Load-out and Load-in studies.
• Provide technical support to Projects to ensure all Foster Wheeler construction engineering, heavy lift and transport operations are designed, checked, supervised and performed in accordance with Company, National and International Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines to clarify and detail the requirements and consequences of construction strategy, methodology, and build sequence.
• Liaise with Shipping Group to develop strategies and provide technical support for shipping of major equipment from vendor locations to site. Liaise and coordinate shipping activities with Marine Warranty Surveyor.
• Provide technical support and supervision services for Lifting and Transportation operations, when needed.
• Develop realistic schedules for Heavy Lift & Transportation activities
