Blackout: Coal, Climate and the Last Energy Crisis

Since coal is primarily used to produce electricity and we have other ways to produce electricity, I don't see the demise of coal over the next 200 years as being a problem. We can do without the toxic plumes and particulates. The land will appreciate being left alone and not strip mined, the mountaintops will be relieved too. Stream will not run orange and red from mine seepage. I only see the loss of coal as a positive . Our land, our lungs, our water and our planet will be better off without it.
