Position: Lead Piping PDS designer
Work location : Kolkatta
Education: Mechanical Engineering Diploma/ ITI trained/ Course in draftsmanship
Years of Experience: 15+ years in Piping Layout Design. Minimum 5 years experience as lead designer will be required.

Job Description:
Technically and administratively supervises the (discipline) design activities on a medium project.
Lead Discipline designers in a project task force ensuring project procedures, standards, quality and schedule.
Participate in MTO estimating effort during bid stage.
Responsible for specific job assignment and supervision for designers during execution stage.
Supervise discipline designers assigned on project task force in terms of quality and schedule.
Participate in Design review sessions.
Responsible for closing model review comments following project procedure.
Responsible for addressing / resolving RDB conflicts, clash related issues, Data Integrity Check.
Responsible for identifying training needs for designers.
Serves in an individual contributor role as a (discipline) design expert.
Experience Profile:
Knowledge of Piping Codes like ASME B 31.3 is a must.
Knowledge of Flexibility Analysis and Piping Material Engineering is advantageous.
Knowledge of 3D software PDS and SPR is a must.
Excellent knowledge of Piping Layout philosophies and considerations is a must.
Knowledge about applicability of stress on layout considerations is a must.
Should be able to finalize support requirement for all non stress critical lines without input from stress.
Knowledge of other 3D software like PDMS/ SP 3D/ COMOS is added advantage.
Experience of active participation during model review session is added advantage.
should have good knowledge of inter discipline interactions and coordination.
should be a good team player with good leadership skills and communication skill.
