Position : Chief Mechanical Engineer- Buildings (Specialist)
Location : Chennai

Exp. : Min. 15 Yrs to 20 Yrs
Job responsibilities.
* Candidate will be responsible for designing heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems and plumbing/drainage systems for residential and commercial high and low rise buildings and to a lesser degree fire protection system and site utilities.
* Experience required includes building systems design and applications, equipment selection, specifications, construction estimation, bidding documents, construction administration, start-up and trouble shooting, commissioning of mechanical system.
* Designing raiser schematic for HVAC, Plumbing and fire fighting systems.
* Technical direction of mechanical designers and CAD designers on specific projects.
* Progress and other report writing.
* Project specification writing.
* Coordination and verification of project deliverables.
* Participate in business development meetings with clients.
Qualifications:-
* Bachelor /Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum 15 Years" Experience in Mechanical engineering consulting within design of HVAC and plumbing for buildings.
* A thorough understanding of mechanical building codes and constructions standards.
Knowledge of European codes and standards will be an advantage.
* Strong understanding of DDC controls, BMS, and controls design and operation.
* Computer proficiency in applications within MS office.
* Mechanical Software proficiency like HVAC heat load calculations using HAP, Hevacomp, and Block load.
* Experience in in Medium and high rise buildings.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM and Energy modelling.
* Ability to interface with other disciplines and multiple clients.
* Ability to work independently design the building mechanical engineering services and in a team environment effectively.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment.
* Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Experience from working in The Gulf and/or Europe is preferred.
