General Job Description:
Coordinates and network all quality functions to better leverage resources to prevent business impacts. Integrate all Quality with other EPC functional managers, project level Quality supervisors/ managers and staffs as well as senior management. Responsible for management of the Quality policies, objectives, responsibilities and personnel.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Reports to the Manager of Quality (NDEU). Specific areas of responsibility include:
2. Energize Our Quality Culture. Lead the Quality Culture transformation and communication process leveraging and aligning with the Corporate Quality Culture Initiative
3. Work collaboratively with QC and Supplier Quality to validate material and equipment meets design requirements and project critical safety and performance parameters are compliant to requirements. Proactively engage supplier risk and collaborate with Supplier Quality on implementation of the Product / Process Integrity Assessment (PPIA) process.
4. Responsible for bringing a Process Approach in Quality with the Build Quality ideology.
5. Responsible for the management of corrective action system and processes. To drive continual improvement and change initiatives.
6. Own and manage the Quality Metric Management Process. Develop Quality metrics and goals; lead efforts related to the company"s quality vision.
7. Serves as Quality representative to KASE review process and a KASE review board member.
8. Own and manage the Quality Plan process and procedures. Responsible for all project and Quality Plans
9. Ensure process health is adequate to accomplish planned and future work and process work flows were followed. Ensure that quality measures comply with regulatory standards, industry standards, and accepted best practices. Accountable for coordinating, supporting and tracking to closure corrective actions.
10. Network all quality processes and the Project Quality Managers to better leverage resources to prevent business impacts
11. Responsible for the Quality processes and procedures including the Quality Management System (QMS). Lead the development, establishment, and enforcement of quality measures and standards. Responsible for engaging strong intradepartmental & cross-functional/organizational relationships to drive QMS and insure site compliance to Quality policy and QMS procedures. Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality best practices.
12. Management of the Quality resources and insuring proper resource allocations on projects.
13. Drive requirements management/verification process. Manage/coordinate with Quality Control and Supplier Quality the inspection and audit process. Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to ISO requirements and established QA standards. Responsible for coordinating ISO Certification and customer QA Audits.
14. Establish enterprise reporting and audit strategies and create a systematic Quality Network for non-conformance reporting and audits. Perform system audits and manage ISO and non-nuclear regulatory compliance program. Create methodologies and processes for the collection and analysis of data for ensuring quality.
15. Developing and maintaining the Quality and Quality certification program and insuring adequate certified Quality professionals to meet the needs of current and future programs/projects. Train, coach, and mentor Quality staff members. Plan and conduct performance appraisals of Quality staff and administer disciplinary action, raises, bonuses, and promotions when necessary.
16. Integrate Quality Proposal inputs/requirements and support proposal prep and approval process
Basic Qualifications:
1. 15+ years" direct experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of quality standards with leadership experience in a high technology EPC, defense / aerospace, or related industry encompassing activities associated with design, procurement, and construction of critical products, projects or services. Demonstrated experience with design controls, design verification and validation activities, process controls, construction and start-up activities, and risk management.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Must maintain outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to motivate a large employee community (note: this includes field site locations across the globe). Must have led diverse teams made up of multi-functional professionals to realize agreed upon goals and objectives.
2. Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with statistical reporting and analysis. Demonstrated ability to apply data driven decisions to execute sound business acumen.
3. Demonstrated ability to develop and lead process implementation and improvement in a team environment. Understanding of product quality improvement using tools such as Six Sigma
4. Experience in the implementation of failure investigations and associated recurrence control measures.
5. Highly experienced in balancing multiple stakeholder needs and driving necessary changes to ensure project success.
6. Passionate about growing customer relationships by creating an attention-to-detail culture centered on mistake proofing critical processes and designs.
7. Demonstrated ability to lead through both direct control and influence management.
8. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, lead, and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to their successful conclusion. Excellent coaching, listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
9. Proven demonstration of cross functional knowledge, through practical engagement, across a project"s life cycle. Must have the aptitude to devise and implement change strategies.
10. Experience presenting to senior and executive management.
11. Business travel within United States and overseas.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor Degree from an accredited university or college preferred.
2. Six Sigma green belt or black belt.
3. Experience at construction site/Project Engineering or Engineering Function disciplines in a leadership or supporting position.
