"QA / QC Engineer (Insulation)" for Paradip (Orissa), India location.
Job Description
Position: It is fixed term contract for 18 months
Degree or Diploma – Mechanical Engineering / Coating Technology with BGas or NACE
Certification on Insulation & Painting
Minimum 10 years exp - Must have good experience and through knowledge in Insulation and Painting work in Construction Industry in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemicals Sectors. Must have Safety and Environmental awareness while handling these materials. Should have experience in managing contractors and QC Documentation. Good communication skills and computer knowledge are essential.
Technical / Domain Related Skills: Through knowledge on Insulation/Painting/Coating
Experience: Must have in Construction Industry in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemicals Sectors.
Responsibilities
To write / review Inspection and Test Plan, Inspection Reports describing results and necessary recommendations including procedure for repair / rectification.
• Perform inspection for incoming materials and review all relevant documents before accepting materials.
• To be able to ensure proper storage of materials at site and handling of materials as per procedure.
• Perform hold point inspections of surface preparation and coating work in accordance with the procedures of the Inspection Quality Manual.
• Analyze, revise, and make recommendations to process.
• Adhere to requirements regarding proper use of equipment and perform inspections.
• Understand and abide by the procedures set by in the Project (Corporate Procedural Manuals, Inspection Quality Manual and the Project Specification).
• Verify the proper use and calibration of inspection instruments as described in the Inspection Quality Manual.
• Complete project documentation and record keeping in accordance with the procedures of the Inspection Quality Manual.
• Knowledge to report progress of work to Site Manager and attend meetings.
• Coordinate with concerned engineer for proper planning and execution of work.
• Represent the company in a professional manner, with a high degree of respect for all.
