Our client, a reputed European Company, with offices in over 10 countries and with diversified projects in Oil and Gas, ranging from Feasibility Studies to complete turnkey projects,
Is looking for exceptional professionals for a large scale Oil& Gas project.
The position is based out of UAE.
Lead Piping/Pipeline Engineer - UAE
Essential Skills/Experience
• Graduate Degree in Mechanical/Piping Engineering (MSc will be considered as an advantage)
• 10-15 years' experience in engineering design preferably within EPC Contractors Technical Office or in engineering consultancy organizations, with sound experience in the designs for offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities
• Ability to function independently within a team environment.
• Involvement in a Construction Project environment is a requirement
• Ability to coordinate effectively with other disciplines for inter-disciplinary interaction.
• Knowledge of International codes and standards (ASME, ASTM), ADNOC and Shell DEP standards.
• Excellent Command of English Language
General Requirements
• Ensure work is carried out competently and effectively, within time and budget constraints
• Review and optimization of EPC Project Design produced by Engineering Sub-Contractors.
• Overall supervision and follow-up of piping engineers, designers and technical personnel in the expedition of piping/pipelines technical submissions and deliverables
• Effective interaction with client engineering team for approval of design deliverables
• Participation in Site survey and data collection for piping/pipelines design
• Participation in design reviews, value engineering workshops/studies
• Ensuring technical integrity of the piping/pipelines deliverables for the project. In particular ensure compliance with the work scope, Project specifications and with applicable international standards.
• Preparation and review of specifications and data sheets for piping/pipeline materials (incl. special piping items, valves).
• Factory inspection and testing of piping/valves and special components
• Competent on Stress Analysis studies with CEASAR II software.
• Development & Review of Pipeline Alignment Sheets.
• Development & Review of piping layouts in 3D (PDS/PDMS).
• Extraction of Isometrics form 3D drawings and coordination for supports design, spooling and prefabrications, coordination with the team preparing the welding maps, and with planning/coordination of the tie-ins.
• Technical Evaluation on Piping/pipeline materials and Coordination with piping and Pipelines Sub-Contractors.
• Coordination with Vendors and vendors drawing review
• Support on Construction and Commissioning Teams for the preparation of the Method Statements and procedures, hydro test packages and clearance of punch items.
