Project Manager - Power Systems Studies
Location: Dubai
Duration 6 - 12 month assignment
Our client is a growing management and engineering consulting practice in the Middle East. They are have offices across Europe with a consulting focus on operations and electricity grid management specialising in the electricity sector. They have a wide range of customers in the transmission and distribution sector including government owned utility firms, electricity network operators and large engineering firms across Europe and the Middle East.
As part of their growth, they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team based in Dubai, UAE. The candidate will form part of an experienced and flexible project delivery team, helping electricity and utilities clients to realise their potential.
We are looking for business consultants with experience working on the following types of projects:
- Power system studies on renewable energy (onshore and offshore wind, solar) grid integration.
- HVDC systems integration studies
- Power system modelling, load flow and fault level studies
Duties:
- Apply your expertise across a variety of projects for Industrial, HV Transmission and Distribution networks in some of the following key areas: HVDC, power system studies, systems modelling, renewable energy grid integration, electricity grid integration
- Support the Project Manager to deliver consulting packages to customers in the electricity sector
- Collaborate with subject matter experts / engineers to formulate pragmatic solutions
Profile:
- Bachelors or Master degree in Engineering (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical)
- Prior experience with power systems studies or electricity market analysis and development
- Extensive power systems studies experience
- Fluent in English (Dutch, German, Arabic, French an additional advantage)
- Experience in working in the Middle-East or emerging markets is a plus
For this position, we are clearly looking for someone with prior consulting experience in the power systems / grid integration topic. This position is based in Dubai with travel to customer locations across the region.
