As Project Manager in Wind Energy you will be responsible for the management and implementation of international wind energy projects (Onshore and Offshore) while ensuring its profitability.
Key Responsibilities include:
- To participate in the tender preparation programme for projects;
- To prepare the Project Plans and supporting documents;
- To assemble the assigned project resources, and arrange kick-off meetings;
- To deploy the project resources according to the approved planning, monitor progress, and take corrective action where appropriate;
- To organise, coordinate and supervise the activities of subordinate staff; to monitor and resolve interface problems;
- Where appropriate, to manage the activities of partners;
- To monitor all project parameters (quality, cost, schedule) and initiate and manage corrective action in the event of deviations;
- To ensure good communication in the project: with the client, team members, vendors/partners, Management; arrange/participate in project meetings;
- To ensure that project technical objectives are achieved by a continuous coordination of the various disciplines;
- To ensure that all project and corporate procedures are correctly followed;
- To ensure that all planned project activities are completed, supporting documentation prepared and approved, and submitted for approval;
- To administer project variations;
- To review and approve all contractual and commercial documents for the project;
- To ensure that all legislative requirements are identified and complied with;
- To ensure that all Health, Safety and Environment legislation is complied with.
- To participate in the elaboration of technical specifications, the organisation and steering of the clarification and negotiation phases and to finalise the contracts;
- To look for continuous improvement in all processes and methodologies.
Profile and experience requirements
- Engineering Degree
- Formal training in project management is strongly desirable;
- Minimum 8 years of professional seniority;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a management or technical coordination function in multidisciplinary projects, including 3 years for large utility scale wind projects;
- Experience in wind procurement processes and experience with all major wind turbine suppliers is a strong asset;
- Good people management skills; good customer handling skills;
- Excellent English language skills. French is an advantage
- Stress resistant, results-focused, determined, decisive, well-organised;
- Ready to travel for short, medium or long missions.
