CH2M would like to recruit a Project Manager to work on the TEAM 2100 project in London.
CH2M would like to recruit a Project Manager to join our Fixed and Active Assets Team on the TEAM2100 programme. This is an opportunity to work on the single largest flood risk management programme in the country, reducing flood risk to London and the Thames Estuary for the next 10 years.
TEAM2100 will carry out the first part of the Environment Agency's Thames Estuary 2100 Plan, which sets out how to manage tidal flood risk in the Thames Estuary throughout the 21st century. TEAM2100 will improve tidal flood defences in London, Kent and Essex from 2015 to 2025.
CH2M lead the integrated team with construction partner Balfour Beatty and other specialist contractors.
Responsibilities
  • The management and leadership of studies
  • Feasibility and design projects, for supervision and contract administration services
  • Managing and overseeing the production of outline and detailed designs, reports, drawings, tender documents, specifications, feasibility studies, and asset management works
  • Take the lead and responsibility for the overall coordination and production of asset management plans
  • Appraise strategic options for flood risk management to ensure future flood risk management is sustainable
  • Manage a team of specialists
  • Take responsibility for risk management
  • Take responsibility for programme
  • Serve as mentor for more junior technicians

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
  • Masters Degree in Engineering
  • Chartered with the relevant Institution (ICE or CIWEM)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Flexible, adaptable and responsive to change
  • Provide leadership and motivate and enthuse the teams
  • Proven experience of managing packages and projects
  • Proven experience of managing budgets
