We are currently looking for a Lead Piping Material Engineer for a Leading EPC MNC serving Oil & Gas Company for Delhi-NCR Location. Please read on to know more.
Role Lead Piping Material Engineer
Education B.E. (Mechanical)
Professional Experience 4 - 18 Yrs
Responsibilities :
Controlling the piping material activities independently for one mega project or multiple small projects
Ensuring Compliance to Client/Licensor Specification and International Standards
Performing/Checking basic calculations (Wall thickness, Branch reinforcement , Bolt Torque etc.)
Developing Piping & Valve Material specification from Licensor/Client Specification , Standard Drawings for Vent/Drains/Instrument Connection details.
Developing Technical Specification/datasheet for Piping Speciality items
Piping MTO / Keeping track of qty. Revision/substitution/ Change order management
Inputs to other disciplines (packages etc.)
Material Checking on Piping Isometrics
Development of department standards/ checklist
Preparing Material/Purchase Requisition, Technical Bid Analysis, Vendor Document Review
Participate in discussion with Client/ PMC to obtain approval on Material related Documents
Face to face discussion with Vendors to resolve technical clarifications.
Estimation for Pre-bid Engineering
Calculation of Construction Work Volumes
Key competencies - Functional :
Expertise in MS-Excel and any Piping Material Processing software
Familiarity with National/ International Codes & standards, Specifications from reputed Licensors/Clients (EIL, UOP, Shell, Aramco etc.)
Exposure to other piping design/construction activities related to Layout, Stress Analysis will be considered as added advantage
Experience as Piping Material Lead in minimum 3 projects
Experience in Prebid /Proposal engineering
