Piping Design Engineer
Job Description
Under general supervision, prepare layouts and conceptual designs for moderate and complex units.
Work independently in the assigned design area using 3D design tools
Provide assistance to the Lead Engineer, as requested, in the areas of schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, procurement, activities etc.
If serving as an Area Lead, perform all or some of the following: organize/plan jobs, write/review specifications, prepare/maintain schedules, and develop/monitor estimates and manpower forecasts, assign work, work with project/client/field, material procurement, permit, and subcontract activities pertaining to the area.
Conversant in Scope Writing and providing inputs to Construction Contracts
Utilize vendor data and work with personnel from other disciplines as required for the performance of designs
Perform squad check or vendor data and drawings from other disciplines
Provide closer interface with and promote understanding of other discipline functions
Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals
Perform self-check of completed work, develop self confidence, and provide guidance to less experienced engineers
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor in Engineering with a strong desire for self development.
Possess excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English
Possess sound technical ability, willing to take ownership and demonstrate accountability towards performance.
Knowledge in SP3D, SPR, PDS, Microstation, AutoCAD. A hand on experience on either
SP3D or PDS is a must.
10-20 years of experience
* Bachelor in Engineering with a strong desire for self development.
Exhibit thorough understanding of pertinent codes and governing regulations and industry practices, etc.
Should possess thorough experience in all aspects of piping design pertaining to ISBL &
OSBL units, critical piping and U/G piping systems.
Must be aware of the required interdisciplinary coordination.
Must have a thorough understanding of the inputs required at various phases of the project from FEED phase, detail design through to construction.
Senior Designer
Job Description

Check discipline design deliverables
Perform squad check of vendor equipment drawings and other discipline drawings
Review fabrication drawings
Assist the Design Supervisor, as required
Provide guidance and mentorship to lower-classification designers
Communicate, both verbally and in written form in a professional manner
Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals
Participate in department training programs/seminars
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor / Diploma in Engineering with a strong desire for self development
* Possess good communication skills in both spoken and written English

* 10-20 years of experience
