Excellent Opening in One of the Leading UK MNC for Chief Designer Piping PDMS Gurgaon
Responsibilities:
* Specifying modifications to existing equipment or purchasing new equipment including but not limited to:
- piping systems, pressure ratings and applications.
- piping survey techniques.
- understanding and application of pipe stress software (Caesar ll).
- understanding and application of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).
- Other associated equipment with the Oil and Gas industry.
* Resolving technical queries and ensure the resolution is satisfactory and ensure that all design changes are captured by the change control process.
* Conducting site surveys.
* Producing design deliverables required for the role and participating in design reviews, checking and approving discipline documents and interdisciplinary documents where necessary.
* Producing documentation deliverables for inclusion in work packs, and or, design books to meet project deadlines.
* Providing input to project planning as part of the project team for achieving the target and completion within the budget and schedule; ensuring that all design work is carried out in accordance with Asset priorities and schedules as set out in the project plan.
* Planning, budgeting and coordinating resources, contribute to the development of plans, schedules and estimates for the individual work scopes. Preparation of design scope for both man-hours and equipment estimates where necessary.
* Reviewing and reporting job progress and cost reports regarding design activities
* Identification of increase or reduction in scope, raising the necessary support documents for Project Control Purposes.
* Liaising with other disciplines in the execution of the work.
* Preparing and delivering appropriate presentations.
Requirements:
Skills/experience
Essential
* Hold a Diploma preferably in Mechanical/Piping or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline with sufficient post-qualification experience to be considered as highly skilled in their respective discipline.
* Have a reasonable level of experience should be in a relevant theatre of operation.
* Have previous supervisory experience.
* Be computer literate in Microsoft packages and required software packages for role.
* Be proficient in PDMS Piping Design.
* Be conversant and knowledgeable with respect to current and new legislation and standards.
