Senior Position in Piping Design Engineering – Oil & Gas EPC Projects
This position is responsible for piping design engineering including developing equipment layout, piping layout and other related drawings & deliverables while executing detail engineering of large size plant in the Oil & Gas EPC Project.
Primary Tasks and ResponsibilitiesExecuting / supporting Oil & Gas EPC project
1. Serve as senior position on assigned projects or complex engineering Assignments, - Perform and check calculations and design using both computer-aided and manual design techniques or under general supervision, perform and check calculations and design.
2. Work independently and provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
3. If serving in a senior person or Area Lead position, perform all or some of the following: organize/plan jobs, write/review technical specifications, prepare/maintain engineering schedules, develop/monitor estimates and manpower forecasts, assign and supervise work, work with project team/client/site, equipment procurement, permit, and subcontract Activities Prepare estimates, schedules, man-hours, manpower forecast, equipment and material forecasts
4. Provide assistance, as requested, in the areas of schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, procurement activities, etc.
5. Perform squad check of vendor data and drawings from own and other disciplines.
6. Strong understanding of International codes & standards
7. Review and check of overall project drawing .
8. Develop and Review of piping design criteria and plant operation/protection philosophy
9. Piping work/maintenance clearance, piping Potential Clearances
10. Technical bid evaluation for vendor's quotations. Material Take-off
11. Preparation of Interface Check List, Coordination with project stakeholders
12. Close interface and reporting to the Head of the department.
13. Field exposure in large size projects shall be an added advantage.
14. Candidate shall be capable of developing equipment layout, piping layout and other related drawings & deliverables while executing detail engineering of large size plant.
15. Exposure of piping for reactors, air-fin-coolers, heaters, columns, compressors on various process licensor's packages is a must.
16. Candidates shall also have working knowledge of stress, material, interdepartmental co-ordination, process package review, tendering for piping works.
17. Shall also be conversant with 3D modeling environment.
Experience - At least 15 years in Oil &Gas plant design including overseas projectSkills & Capability
v Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
v Familiar with MS Office Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and other similar computer program.
v Effective interpersonal and communications skills, particularly the ability to communicate complex technical issues.
