Position requires thorough knowledge of electrical drafting, engineering techniques and
graphics skills using AutoCAD software. Responsible to plan and conduct independent work
requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering
techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare/modify
drawings, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, projects specifications,
accepted engineering practices and international standards.
Typical Duties:
Typical duties will include but not be limited to the preparation and/or modification of the
following:
Electrical equipments layout.
Underground/above ground cables layout and routings.
Cable trays/ladders and conduits layouts and details.
Panels general arrangements and internal/external layout.
Wiring diagrams.
Instrumentations hook ups, loop and interconnection diagrams.
Single line diagrams.
Electrical installation details.
Indoor and outdoor lighting, fire alarms, telephone systems and small power layouts
and details.
Earthing and lightning layouts and details.
Preparation of Trench Layout, Elevation, Foundation, MCC & Control Room Building,
Earth Mat Layout.
Material take off.
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Prepares drawings and sketches using CAD (Computer Aided Design), working
closely with other disciplines Designers, Drafters, and Engineers to ensure coordinated
designs.
Applies standard design principles and theories to complete assignments. Utilizes
technical manuals to ensure compliance with all Company policies, projects
specifications and applicable standards and codes such as NEC, IEC, IEEE, BS, etc
Assists in ensuring compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and
specifications.
Compiles data and computes quantities.
Reads, prepare and modify 2D and 3D drawings and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
Understands and performs changes, additions, and/or revisions as required by the
immediate supervisor.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or completion of technical
courses, and five years of experience with advance knowledge in electrical
drafting, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education.
Skills and Requirements:
Entry level design position responsible for performing easy to moderate design work
assignments involving some independent judgment to determine a course of action
consistent with established functional and organization's policies and goals.
Familiar with basic engineering and/or design/drafting concepts. Has general
understanding of other disciplines' roles in the design process.
Able to complete tasks in accordance with project procedures/specifications and
applicable codes and/or standards.
Able to discuss routine technical problems and communicate effectively with
immediate supervisor and other project personnel.
Ability to utilize intermediate to advanced PC and 2D AutoCAD software, and other
applicable hardware and software to perform duties. Applying and strengthening
applicable design skills, as well as software skills, such as 3D AutoCAD.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities important.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical. Usually able to explain why
things are done they way they are within a broader organizational context.
Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Ability to maintain confidential information critical.
Under general supervision, performs routine to moderately difficult drafting/design
and/or technical support assignments, requiring the application of advanced drafting
and fundamental de-sign techniques, and engineering and mathematical principles, in
accordance with established standards and procedures.
May direct the work of lower-level CAD Technicians.
Typically will interface with departmental staff and lower and middle management, and
sometimes outside customers.
Ability to work effectively in teams.
Work Environmental & Physical Demands:
The characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing

Overtime may be necessary as workloads dictate. This may include weekdays,
weekends and/or holidays.
Job will generally be performed in an office environment, but may require travel to visit
a Clients office, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will
vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
May be assigned to work at a Clients office, facility or site for an extended period of

Salary: INR 5,00,000 - 8,00,000 P.A + food, travel and accomodation will be provided
