JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Head - Quality Assurance
Reporting to: Head Operations
Location: Chennai Factory
Main Purpose of Role:
To keep complete control on Quality Assurance, process monitoring and improvement
to maintain optimum quality level at all time .
Top 5 Must haves
1. Regular BE Mechanical from reputed Engineering college
2. 15 years experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control preferably in
fabrication/manufacturing industry, with all NDE certification
3. Prior experience as Management Representative of ISO, MIS reporting,
Improvement initiative , process monitoring and quality documentation
4. Thorough Knowledge of materials, welding, heat treatment process and
quality management / environment systems
5. Communication (MS Office and English), presentation, interpersonal,
networking, and aanalytical skill, Customer orientation, quality conscious &
MNC fit
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility & accountability of ensuring Quality and environment
Process audit
Monitoring and analysis of CVM parameters
Management representative for ISO
Review of customer complaints and disposal
Review of corrective & Preventive action
Review of environmental performance
Process improvement
Reporting to top management for Quality & Environment performance
Initiate quality circle activities & ensure product quality development.

Detailed Requirements and Responsibilities:
Rich hands on experience in Quality assurance and Quality control, Quality
management system implementations, Welding visual inspection, NDT Techniques -
LPT, RT, UT & MPT.
Familiar with Heavy structural steel inspection during fabrication and its
Equipment inspection like welding, alignments and testing.
Preparing Welding procedure specifications, Welder's qualification.
Developing Inspection Test Plans, Quality Control Plans for new
Preparing Plan for measuring instruments/equipments required for
Carrying out stage and final inspection/tests during progress of work.
Coordination with client for stage / final inspection and obtain acceptance of
Ensuring identification of products and traceability and indicating inspection
Carrying out welder test and preparation of qualification records.
Inspection of local purchased items.
Offering stage and test inspection to customer and obtaining acceptance
Identification of non conformities and raising nonconformity reports and
Coordination for calibration of instruments, Measuring and test equipments,
quality control.

Non destructive tests such DPT, UT, MPT and RT film interpretation.
Inspection of painting as per contract specification and standards.
