Process Engineering Specialist
To provide technical support to the RasGas Operations Expansion Department in relation to all Process issues. The work covers the Commissioning and Start-up Phase of the Project followed by the period that the New Facilities will be operated by The RasGas Expansion Group until the Facilities are finally handed over to RasGas Operations. The Incumbent will also be required to provide expert technical advice and support regarding process design issues, operational problems and will be expected to take the lead in establishing the root cause of problems.
- Coordinates the activities of Equipment Vendors called out or required by the Expansion Group during Commissioning and Startup activities.
- Investigates process problems that arise during the commissioning and startup phase and liaises with the PMT and the EPC Contractor to resolve the issues.
- Reviews warranty claims/doubts and concerns, validates them from an engineering perspective and follows up the solution with the PMT and EPC Contractor.
- Provide support as required to Operations and Commissioning Advisors.
- Reviews process activities during all phases of the project from construction through Mechanical Acceptance, Startup and Operations.
- Review process requirements on units prior to Commissioning and start-up of any equipment to ensure it is safe to operate and has been correctly prepared for startup.
- Ensure the processes meet specification and are fit for purpose prior to handover to Company Operations.
- Performs the equipment pre-commissioning inspections to ensure the installation is per design and developed based line inspection database that will be link later to Engineering Programmatic Group
- Actively monitors the performance of units in delegated area of responsibility on a daily basis and recommends action when necessary to troubleshoot operations in meeting the design.
- Responsible for reviewing and interpreting Process related data during root cause analysis of problems. This includes real time and archived data from the RTIS (RasGas PI-based system) etc.
