We are looking a Principal Engineer -HSE Design Chennai Location- Oil & Gas Industry
Job Title / Designation : Principal Engineer -HSE Design
Work Experience : 12-17 years of experience
Location : Chennai
Industry : Oil & Gas
PG Qualification : Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Safety /Fire /Chemical /Mechanical Engineering
with 12-17 years of experience in an Engineering Consultancy/EPC Company/Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Industries
Supervise & lead a team of Engineers and Designers in carrying out FEED, Proposal and Detailed Engineering Works and provide necessary technical information for procurement in compliance with tender specifications/data sheets and complete within the budgeted man-hour and project schedules.
Primary Duties:
ï “ Perform as a Lead Engineer on Proposals & Projects assigned with and provide required technical guidance and support to Engineers & Designers working with.
ï “ Review contract requirements for project execution, prepare Technical Document Register (TDR), identify Scope of Work and develop Manpower Plan
ï “ Verify and Review Design HSE component of Projects/proposals
ï “ Work with project and vendor representatives to resolve technical issues
ï “ Review and resolve contract discrepancies in consultation with projects and issue close out report.
ï “ Plan and develop strategies to effectively execute engineering activities within budget and schedule
ï “ Prepare/ReviewHSE Designs Philosophies, Fire Prevention/Protection Design, Fire & Gas Design, Hazardous Area Classification, Passive Fire Protection Documents & Drawings etc.
ï “ Coordinate Project Safety Reviews i.e. HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, SIL, etc. as applicable
ï “ Co-ordinate Third Party Safety Studies with Projects e.g. QRA, RAM and development of Design HSE Case
ï “ Review & update HAZOP/HAZID/QRA/Consequence Analysis/FERA/EERA/Flare Radiation Analysis/Noise Studies and Other Risk Assessment Reports
ï “ Provide guidance in the Preparation & Evaluation of Plot Plans
ï “ Review Inquiry Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations and ensure procurement according to project specifications
ï “ Review & identify the Fire Zones according to the ESD/Blow down Philosophy
Interact with Quality Assurance for quality issues, strictly ensure compliance with Company's ISO Quality procedures
