SBM Offshore is currently recruiting for a Brownfield Project Construction Manager. The Brownfield Project Construction Manager is the interface between engineering and the construction site personnel for technical issues.
The Brownfield Project Construction Manager is responsible for:
Timely delivery of planned brownfield construction activities.
Provide visibility to the Project Manager of the project status for planned activities and assigned responsibilities.
Provide input to and review the Construction Management Plans.
Provide scope definition for subcontracts, propose required supervision manpower and define project roles and responsibilities.
Ensure the QA and QC requirements are adhered to by the various yards, liaising in this respect with the Construction Quality Coordinator.
To be located or to visit on a regular basis construction sites during construction phase, at SBM discretion.
To drive, supervise and help control all project construction activities both onshore and offshore and to manage a complete construction team including supervisors and inspectors. Ensure proper implementation, preparation and execution of job cards and Work Packs.
Assist in the management of subcontracts. Management and reporting of interfaces with fabricators for construction including clearance of punch list activities and mechanical completion up to hand over to Operations, with responsibility for non-commercial issues. Support for commercial issues.
Provide input during the staffing process related to the scope of work.
Participating in the early phase of the design to provide constructability input and to be involved in the development work with Fabrication Subcontractors, providing Brownfield expertise throughout the project.
REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIREMENTS:
Engineering Degree preferred (Structural, Naval Architecture, or Construction) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Engineering or Site Supervision execution in the offshore construction industry. Candidates MUST have experience on projects involving offshore structures. Candidates must be prepared for 30% to 50% travel to Angola in this position. Candidates should also have familiarity with National and International Codes (ABS, API, IMO, etc) and Standards and Classification Society Rules, as well as working knowledge of normal commercial and marine fabrication materials, procedures, and capabilities.
