Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
Around 10 to 20 years of experience.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
a) Leading the entire Piping Engineering activities to carry out Piping design work based on standard company procedure / other procedures, methods outlined.
b) Timely completion of designs, requisitions and engineering deliverables.
c) Technical guidance to Piping Engineers and Designers to carry out piping design work as per the requirements of the Project.
d) Adherence to Dept./Discipline Working Instructions and Quality Systems.
e) Overview of work progress and work-hour usage.
f) Working within company budgets
g) Meet client expectations and maintain long-term relationship with client. Attend to client"s feedback and any complaints
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Detailed Piping engineering activities for industrial plants covering required design calculations, MTOs, Piping Material Specifications, various types of layouts, procurement activity for piping items covering preparation of enquiry specification, review of quotes and preparation of TR, preparation of order specifications, review of vendor drawings, review of piping content for mechanical packages. Knowledge about 3D software packages like PDS/PDMS/Auto plant etc. is mandatory
Should have handled Projects & Piping Design on 3D independently with active participation in model reviews.
Knowledge on Stress Analysis and working on Hygienic Design shall be an added advantage.
Inspection of piping items and Preparation / making cost estimates.
MEASUREMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Through regular contact with discipline and project personnel and by regular review of the project status reports, ensure upto-date and reliable statistical information on project performance.
Improve the productivity by means of reduction of rework and errors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review technical requirements of client"s specifications and ensure that agreement is reached on the basis of design. Participate in discussions with the client, as necessary.
Monitor that work and progress are in compliance with the project requirements and schedule.
Maintain contact with other disciplines/groups to ensure:
a) Project Manager and/or Engineer are aware of problems of progress delays.
b) Proper interchange of information.
c) Proper interchange of documents
d) Interface is correctly defined.
