Job Description
Urgently required for leading Korean Engineering & Construction Company involved in Refinery / Petrochemical / Oil & Gas EPC Projects in South Korea.
Experienced Required:
-As Lead Piping Engineer, shall be able to lead all the upstream offshore hydrocarbon piping engineering activities. (consisting of 5-10 engineers dependent on the project size)
• Estimation knowledge and experience of Piping Design for Bidding Project
• Detailed knowledge of Piping design and Plant Layout aspects.
• Proven understanding of Pipe Specification.
• Proven skill at support selection.
• Capable of pipe routing of all major process and utility piping in accordance with P&ID's and project standards, including specific service conditions and impact on piping design.
• Shall have a thorough understanding of Equipment typically encountered in projects and understand any special requirements that these may bring (Vibration/ Maintenance/ Piping Configuration).
• Understanding of multi-discipline aspects, including Safety, Constructability, maintenance and operations and thorough knowledge of appropriate codes and standards including class requirements.
• Shall be capable of preparing Stress Analysis of review/ check by Stress Engineer, checking/ correcting basic deliverables.
-Conversant with relevant offshore engineering standards and codes (such as API, ISO, ASME, ASTM, NORSOK, DNV, MSS etc) and specifications of major oil and gas companies such as BP, Chevron, Exxon-Mobil, Shell, TOTAL etc.
-Offshore piping engineering deliverables shall be developed with a high level quality and issues in accordance with Project Schedule.
Nature of Experience:
-The candidate shall have a strong experience of offshore piping design (10 years minimum and 15 plus years is preferred) in a similar projects;
• Brownfield engineering for CPP and WHP
• Greenfield Projects for WHP, CPP.
-Candidate should be able to manage on stand-alone project and to manage and mentor other Piping Engineers.
-Candidate shall be experienced as Lead Piping Engineer at least 3 offshore projects(5 plus project experiences are preferred.)
-Candidate shall have experience on Conceptual Studies, FEEDS and EPC for offshore piping engineering.
-Candidate shall have leadership capabilities in managing work teams for planning/ schedule/ delivery and client interface such as;
• Providing input to project Planning Engineer to prepare project schedule
• Preparation of Design Basis Report & Technical Specifications
• Responsible for quality/ timely submission of deliverables
• Participating in design review and progress meeting with clients.
-Able to handle the offshore piping activities for Tenders (Understanding of the scope, method statements, man-hour estimation, clarifications,..).
-Willing to work as a Mentor.
Qualification requirement:
Bachelor of Chemical Engineering as a minimum. Master is preferred.
