| SENIOR DESIGNER & DESIGNER The Roles & Responsibilities:- General responsibilities include interaction with discipline engineers for planning and execution of drafting work, assisting discipline engineer in generation of engineering document register, assigning jobs to draftsmen, checking of drawings & MTO's Senior Designer/ Designer will study the scope of work and assist to prepare the document register Senior Designer will provide suggestions and guidance to designers and draftsmen Senior Designer shall Check all documents prepared by designers and Sr. Draftsmen Make Site visits and collection of site data, retrieval of documents, drawings and data from the client's libraries, archives. Coordinate with field / workshop staff for drawing clarification Prepare MTO's and preliminary MTO for proposal bids Coordinate with field/work shop staff for drawing clarifications Skills:- - Exposure to AutoCAD and other 3D Modelling software like PDS, PDMS, etc - Efficiency and accuracy in work - Excellent coordination skills & interaction with other discipline and co-staff - Able to work independently & develop designs from basic docs / layouts - Knowledge of discipline items, grades, materials, etc - Identify areas of repetitive working & means to overcome both design and fabrication - Knowledge of fabrication /installation requirements - Knowledge of Material Take off for estimation. - Good communication skill in English language - Piping Designers shall have thorough knowledge of Plot Plans, Piping Layouts, Piping Materials & valves, specialty items, knowledge pipe spool fabrication requirements Qualifications:- - Diploma in respective discipline engineering preferred - Fair knowledge of codes and standards, specifications, equipment layouts, thorough knowledge of plot plans and knowledge of fabrication requirements - A minimum of 10 to 12 years experience for Senior Designer and 7 to 10 years experience for Designer Best regards, Aloysius Parmar Oil & Gas Division Huxley Associates a.parmar@huxley.com http://www.huxley.com | ||
