Job Location Navi Mumbai
Job Purpose
* Involved in overall design, co-ordination, engineering, and interaction with client and vendors.
* Set flexible approach to adapt to a variety of projects and to ensure efficient and economical design in accordance with Contract requirements and good engineering practices.
* Involved in identification of potential improvements to cope with Project objectives in terms of Design methods, resources and manpower.
Accountabilities

* Preparation of Technical documents and selection of standards in relation with Client"s requirements and Project Management team.
* Basic Engineering activities like preparation of plot plans, equipment layouts, review of P&IDs, preparation of piping materials specification.
* Detail engineering activities like finalisation of equipment layouts, preparation of piping layout drawings, pipe support design, Pipe thickness calculations, bill of materials, isometrics.
* QC & Testing during Fabrication process

1. Material stock codes / material allocation in SAP
2. Non-mettallic piping design
3. Piping specialty items - Design and Specifications

- Cost effective and timely completion of project.
- Quality requirements in project documentation & its implementation.
Experience & Educational Requirements
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Include Additional Certification Required if any Necessary: BE / M Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Desirable:
- Well versed with the following packages :
- CAESAR II Stress Analysis Package.(preferable)
- CAEPIPE Stress Analysis Package.(preferable)
- SIMFLEXS Stress Analysis Package.(preferable)
- AutoCAD (preferable)
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Type of roles (and duration) which an individual ideally should have done in his/her prior experience to be detailed Necessary Min 10-15 years" experience in design, fabrication, Installation in EPC / Detail Engineering in Oil & Gas Industry. Offshore experience is very much required.
