Position : Piping Engineer (Modular Merox)
Qualification: B.E. /B. Tech (Mechanical)

AA) Project Accountabilities include:
Has proven capability/ knowledge to analyse piping systems. As a result, to provide support to Project team for following:
1) Analysis of piping systems for all load conditions including:
1-a) Static and cyclic operating pressures
1-b) Climatic loading including wind and seismic
1-c) Shipping and lifting
1-d) Piping flexibility analysis
1-e) Pipe stress
1-f) recommend pipe support system
2) Develop and maintain piping analysis tools and piping standard specifications (e.g. PMS etc)
3) Review customer specifications for proposal support
4) proven experience with and working knowledge of B31.3 Piping Code
5) Has proven knowledge and competency with pipe-stress analysis software (like AutoPipe or Ceasar).
6) Provides deliverables within budgeted cost and schedule at the appropriate level of quality
7) Provides technical support for fixed/ budgetary price proposals, cost estimates, and design basis data
8) Communicates with project manager/ engineer on a regular basis regarding progress, changes, schedule etc.
9) steps-in to interface with Customer and others upon Project Manager"s request.
10) Inspects fabrication/ construction for conformance with project requirements and applicable codes, as assigned
11) Assures the work of others in the group (as applicable) is checked for technical accuracy and compliance with established guidelines and procedures (in area of expertise)
12) Works effectively with team members and proactively communicates key decisions with others
13) Identifies opportunities for improving Customer satisfaction. Takes action to exceed Customer needs
BB) Additional Position Accountabilities include:
1) Identifies needs and opportunities for Work Process and Productivity improvements (in area of expertise) utilizing Six Sigma principles and provides necessary oversight through implementation
2) Keeps up-to-date with current technology developments in area of expertise and shares this knowledge with others, where appropriate through leadership of an Equipment community
3) Sets technical standards, policies, and procedures in area of expertise. Coordinates revisions and improvements going forward
4) Supports the Technical/ Engineering Manager in support of the development and maintenance of outside suppler relationships, as assigned
5) Explains MNC's philosophy regarding Equipment issues to internal and external customers
6) Analyzes and recommends solutions to technical problems in the Equipment area
7) Coaches and mentors engineers regarding Equipment deliverables, as requested.
8) Represents IPL's Equipment team in area of expertise on MNC Equipment teams, as assigned
9) Provides feedback on performance of others (as requested) as input into the annual performance review process.
10) Supports recruiting efforts, as and when requested
11) Accomplishes agreed to Expectations and Goals specific to area of expertise
