Job Description
Take personal ownership and responsibility for protecting people from harm, and for developing strategies that drive performance and support continuous improvement.
Maintain communication with the Divisional Head"s to provide technical resource guidance, and to ensure consistent implementation of HSE process tools that support HSE strategic plans and objectives.
Manage the operational activities of the department to include: staffing levels, budgets/Costing and financial goals.
Act as Management Representative in the implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
Ensures that the entire operations comply with the Quality and HSE Policy of the company.
Ensures that company and employees comply to HSE requirement on both ONSHORE and OFFSHORE activities.
Identify both Quality and HSE training needs, with mandatory courses and make recommendations for the fulfillment of those needs.
Conducts HSE awareness training on all aspects of company business including Office Safety, Hand Safety, PPE, Job Safety Analysis, etc.
Conduct, in coordination with concerned departments, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment to eliminate or reduce the risk to as low as reasonably practicable and achievable.
Ensure that every department complies with Integrated Management System by conducting periodic audits.
Taking prompt corrective action and advising senior management accordingly with regards to unsafe/unhealthy procedures, methods, facilities, equipment and substances.
Conducts accident/incident investigation to identify root cause and make appropriate corrective/preventive action.
Attends to injuries incurred in the facility.
Ensure that all operatives are informed of hazards and necessary precautions relating to the work activities and carry out the risk assessment upgrade required for any increase to the perceived risk.
Conducts inspection in the work area to ensure the health and safety of the workers and the protection of the environment.
Prepare injury report, maintain required record and provide adequate documentation on occupational monitoring activities.
Monitoring housekeeping, environmental & hygienic condition of the site.
Conduct unsafe act audit, prepare and keep records of all unsafe act violation.
Knowledge, Skill& Ability requirements
Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001& OSHAS 18001 standards
Auditing processes and protocols;
Leading and Trailing Indicator Measurements;
HSE Legislation and Regulations;
Corporate incident reporting requirements and accident investigation techniques;
