Job Purpose
* Responsible for the overall design, co-ordination, engineering, team building, supervision, monitoring project schedule, manpower planning and interaction with client and vendors.
* Set flexible approach to adapt to a variety of projects and to ensure efficient and economical design in accordance with Contract requirements and good engineering practices.
* Proactive participation to identify potential improvements to cope with Project objectives in terms of Design methods and resources and manpower.
Accountabilities

* Plan layout of electric power generating plants, substations, Main SLD"s, Power, Lighting & earthing system.
* Design principles for Power Generation system (Gas Turbines & Diesel Generators) and Power Distribution system
* Load Management System (load Sharing & Load Shedding).
* Design requirements and Specifications of High, medium & low voltage switchgears, Power & Distribution transformers, motors, variable frequency drives, UPS, Battery chargers & batteries, etc.
* Design / Sizing calculations for Generators, substations, plant power distribution equipment and systems (Transformers, switchgears, etc), short circuit calculations, heat tracing, cables, power & lighting systems and grounding systems in accordance with
* Power system studies using ETAP
* Electrical Control System (SCADA)
* Electrical Protection systems, Relay settings and parameterization
* Principles of Hazardous area classifications
* Design requirements and Specifications for various electrical installations
* Inspection and testing requirements for electrical equipment"s
* QC & Testing during Fabrication process
