Low Level Laser Therapy Part 1
Effects at the cellular level increase ATP energy and DNA synthesis and benefit acute and chronic musculoskeletal aches & pains, chronic inflammation , acute soft-tissue injuries, as well as other conditions. by Dr Dan Murphy DC
Laser therapy is also used in sports medicine & rehabilitation clinics (to reduce swelling & hematoma, relieve pain, improve mobility, and to treat acute soft-tissue injuries). It was shown in the 1980s that laser radiation altered the firing pattern of nerves, which is connected with pain therapy. In 1988, Rochkind et al.8 noted that the ability of laser irradiation to affect the action potential was dependent upon the wavelength: the effect was strong at 540 nm and 632.8 nm; while laser radiation at 660, 830, 880,904, and 950 nm had no effect.
Therapeutic low powered lasers are commercially available in many different wavelengths and power outputs . In reviewing the newbook byTiina Karu "on Laser Phototherapy, it appears clear that there is no one wavelength that is ideal for all appropriately treated clinical syndromes. Few studies compare the outcome of different wavelengths and exposure fluences on measured outcomes .

Low Level Laser Therapy [LLLT]- Part 2
A review of seminal works on the theory of non-mechanistic, quantum physics effects of low level energy on biological systems.
Dr Murphy discusses the theoretical concepts about how lasers work from the quantum physics perspective. Dr Mary Dyson, a laser researcher from the UK divides the effects of therapeutic laser on body tissues into 3 types: primary, secondary and tertiary. These tertiary or whole body effects appear to be both biochemical and quantum physical in nature. Quantum tertiary effects are interesting effects observed in clinical therapeutic applications.
According to Dr Oschman's theory, the entire physical body is interconnected. Energy applied to one part of the system will? spread to other parts of the system, including the genome and its genetic expression. He also notes that communication in living systems involve 2 main systems ---Chemical and Energetic.
There are 2 kinds of energetic interactions - Electrical, classic nerve & muscle function + Electronic, classic alterations of the tensegrity matrix
